Dwyane Wade had 19 points, 10 assists and six rebounds Tuesday night, and the Miami Heat caught a couple of breaks in the final minutes to beat the struggling Washington Wizards 94-87. Wade, who played despite rolling his ankle in a loss at Toronto on Sunday, led six players in double figures as the Heat beat the Wizards for the second time in five days and celebrated a rare road victory.

Wade, the NBA's second-leading scorer at 27.9 points per game, is listed as a game-time decision in Miami's matchup in Washington on Tuesday. He has played through similar slight sprains in the past. Paul Pierce scored 22 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Boston Celtics to a 94-87 comeback win over the Toronto Raptors on Monday night. Mike Bibby scored all of his 19 points in the first half, making four 3-pointers during an 18-4 run that broke open the game, and the unbeaten Atlanta Hawks routed the Toronto Raptors 110-92 on Friday night. Dwight Howard had 21 points and 21 rebounds and the Orlando Magic advanced to second round of the playoffs for the first time in 12 years, beating the Toronto Raptors 102-92 on Monday night to close out their series in five games. Dwight Howard had 25 points and 22 rebounds, and Jameer Nelson scored 24 points, and the Orlando Magic defeated the Toronto Raptors 114-100 Sunday in the opener of their first-round series. Howard scored six straight points in a 10-0 fourth-quarter run that sealed Orlando's first playoff win since 2003.

The loss drops Toronto (40-40) into a tie with Philadelphia for the Eastern Conference's sixth seed with two games left, although the Raptors have the tiebreaker. The sixth seed will play Orlando in the first round, while the seventh seed faces Detroit.

Bulls F Gooden to miss rest of season (AP)
Chicago Bulls forward Drew Gooden will miss the remainder of the season because of a lower abdominal strain, interim coach Jim Boylan said. Gooden missed his seventh straight game when the Bulls hosted Cleveland on Friday and will not be available for the final three against Orlando, Milwaukee and Toronto.

Lakers center Andrew Bynum ran on a treadmill Tuesday for the first time since injuring his left knee two months ago. The NBA suspended Alexander Johnson of the Miami Heat for Friday's game against the Golden State Warriors because of a flagrant foul earlier in the week. Johnson committed a hard foul Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors' Andrea Bargnani, the 2006 No. 1 overall draft pick. Bargnani was driving the baseline, Johnson leaped in an effort to keep Bargnani from scoring, and the collision sent the Raptors' forward to the ground in a heap.
