The Detroit Pistons might have won Game 5 more than an hour before it started. Music wasn't rattling the locker room. Eyes were locked on the big-screen TV showing the previous matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers. Chauncey Billups scored 21 points, Richard Hamilton had 20 and Rasheed Wallace added 19 to lift Detroit to a 98-81 victory over Philadelphia on Tuesday night and a 3-2 lead in the...

The Pistons squashed all that chatter about heading home with a series deficit. "I didn't go through all this yesterday not to play," McDyess said before Game 4.

76ers hope Iguodala improves vs. Pistons (AP)
Andre Iguodala's risky gamble to reject a $57 million contract extension looked like the right one in the regular season. Funny how two miserable playoff games against one of the top teams in the East can change everything. Iguodala hasn't played for the Philadelphia 76ers like the kind of star who deserves franchise-player money.

Slumping Sixers head into postseason (AP)
The 76ers are one more four-game losing streak away from heading home for the summer.
