The Spurs announced the move before Tuesday night's game against the Detroit Pistons in Auburn Hills, signing Novak from the Reno Bighorns of the NBA Development League. Novak appeared in seven games for the Dallas Mavericks this season, playing 18 total minutes and scoring 11 points.
