A person with knowledge of the negotiations says the New Jersey Nets have acquired Gerald Wallace from the Portland Trail Blazers for two injured players and a protected first-round draft pick. The Nets sent center Mehmet Okur and forward Shawne Williams to Portland along with their own 2012 draft pick.

The New York Knicks have signed free-agent forward Shawne Williams. Terms of the deal weren't disclosed Thursday. The 6-foot-9 Williams has averaged 5.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 13.4 minutes in 126 games in three NBA seasons with Indiana and Dallas. He was drafted 17th overall in 2006 following his freshman season at Memphis.

The Indiana Pacers have picked up the team options on Danny Granger, Ike Diogu and Shawne Williams. Granger, in his third year, is expected to be a key player in new coach Jim O'Brien's offense.
