Andrei Kirilenko blocked Kobe Bryant twice in overtime and converted a three-point play with 35 seconds remaining as the Utah Jazz beat the Los Angeles Lakers 123-115 on Sunday, tying the Western Conference semifinals at 2-2. The Jazz went 9-for-9 from the foul line in overtime and outscored the Lakers 15-7 in the extra 5 minutes.

Carlos Boozer broke out of his slump with 27 points and tied his career playoff-high with 20 rebounds, leading the Utah Jazz to a 104-99 victory over Los Angeles on Friday night, cutting the Lakers' lead in the series to 2-1. It was the Lakers' first loss this postseason. Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinal is Sunday at Utah.




No Gasol, but Bryant lifts Lakers to win (AP)

Kobe Bryant outscored the Washington Wizards all by himself in the first quarter Sunday. Then he let his Los Angeles Lakers teammates in on the fun. Bryant put up 19 points in the opening period on his way to finishing with 30 on 10-of-15 shooting, and the Lakers had no need for the newly acquired Pau Gasol in a 103-91 victory over the Wizards.

Tim Duncan had 28 points and 17 rebounds to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 103-91 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. Ime Udoka added a season-high 18 points and four other Spurs scored in double digits to give San Antonio its second straight victory. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 29 points and 12 rebounds, and Ronny Turiaf scored 14 points.

Kobe Bryant scored 37 points, Kwame Brown made a foul shot with 9.2 seconds remaining, and the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Memphis Grizzlies 100-99 Sunday night, but they might have lost outstanding young center Andrew Bynum in the process. The Lakers extended their winning streak to six, their longest since they won 11 straight late in the 2003-04 season before going on to reach the NBA finals.

Kobe Bryant scored 39 points, becoming the youngest player in NBA history to reach 20,000, and the Los Angeles Lakers held off the New York Knicks 95-90 Sunday. Bryant added 11 rebounds and eight assists in his first game at Madison Square Garden in nearly two years. His 3-pointer in the opening minute of the third quarter allowed him to reach the milestone at 29 years, 122 days.

Kobe Bryant scored 30 points and the Los Angeles Lakers broke open a tight game in the late going to beat the short-handed San Antonio Spurs 102-97 on Thursday night for their fourth straight victory. The defending NBA champion Spurs (17-5), losers of two straight for the first time this season, played without stars Tim Duncan and Tony Parker.




Odom returns with double-double for Lakers

Ronny Turiaf and Andrew Bynum each scored 18 points to lead the Los Angeles Lakers past the Sacramento Kings 101-97 on Friday night in the team's final preseason game. Turiaf, who was 5-of-7 from the field, had eight rebounds, while Bynum, who was 7-of-10 from the field, had seven. Also for the Lakers, who finished 3-4 in the preseason, Derek Fisher added 15 points with five assists.




Warriors complete 2-game sweep of Lakers (AP)
