The New York Knicks have signed free-agent guard Roger Mason Jr. Mason is the latest addition to the Knicks, joining a list newcomers that include Amare Stoudemire, Ronny Turiaf, Anthony Randolph, Raymond Felton and Kelenna Azubuike. Mason has averaged 7.2 points 1.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 346 career games with Chicago, Toronto, Washington and San Antonio.

Manu Ginobili scored 28 points in the San Antonio Spurs' 97-87 victory Wednesday night over the New York Knicks, who clinched a franchise-record ninth consecutive losing season. Ginobili kept carrying the Spurs after scoring 38 in a loss Monday at Cleveland, thriving again in his second start since Tony Parker's broken right hand thrust Ginobili off the bench.

Parker, who was 7 of 11 from the field, had eight points in a decisive third-quarter run as the Spurs extended an 11-point halftime lead to 21 entering the fourth.

Tim Duncan had 24 points and 12 rebounds, and the San Antonio Spurs halted the Milwaukee Bucks' three-game winning streak with a 112-98 victory Monday night. Matt Bonner had 23 points off the bench and the Spurs won consecutive games for only the second time this season. They also finally took advantage of a big night from Duncan, having previously been 0-4 when the All-Star scored 20 or more.

Roger Mason sank a 3-pointer from the corner at the buzzer to give the San Antonio Spurs a 91-90 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday. The Suns had taken the lead on Grant Hill's layup on an out-of-bounds play with 4.3 seconds to go. Tony Parker drove toward the basket for San Antonio and threw to Mason, who was wide open because defender Jason Richardson was late getting there.

Roger Mason was supposed to be a complementary piece when the San Antonio Spurs signed him as a free agent during the offseason. But Mason was the one drawing the compliments Friday night. Mason scored 29 points and the Spurs made 15 of 25 3-pointers to beat the Utah Jazz 119-94. "I wasn't going to go too crazy, but it was one of those nights," Mason said.

Playing without the backcourt of Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, the Spurs still managed to hit eight of their first nine 3-point attempts. Rookie George Hill scored a career-high 23 points for San Antonio (6-6) which has won four of its last five.

Free agent guard Roger Mason signed with the San Antonio Spurs on Friday. The Spurs didn't disclose terms of the deal, but Mason's agent, Mark Bartelstein, told The Associated Press on Thursday that Mason signed a two-year contract for "just a little less than" $8 million. On Thursday, Bartelstein said the team had come to an agreement with Mason. Mason spent the last two seasons with the Washington Wizards. Last season, the 6-foot-5 guard averaged a career-high 9.1 points and 1.

The Washington Wizards' backups were more than enough to eliminate the very sub-.500 Indiana Pacers from the playoff race, 117-110 Monday. Coach Eddie Jordan went to his bench early and often, getting 31 points from Roger Mason, 14 from rookie Nick Young and little resistance from the Pacers' defense.

Mike Bibby scored 23 points and Joe Johnson added 18 points and 10 assists to lead the Atlanta Hawks over the Washington Wizards, 105-96 on Monday night. It was the Hawks' third straight win, moving them one-half game ahead of idle New Jersey for eighth place in the Eastern Conference. The Hawks haven't made the playoffs since the 1998-99 season.

Antawn Jamison had 25 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Washington Wizards to a 110-106 overtime victory over the Toronto Raptors on Friday night. Roger Mason added 18 points for the Wizards, who had six players score in double figures. Washington has won five of seven despite missing Gilbert Arenas and Caron Butler.

DeShawn Stevenson drained a fade-away 3-pointer at the buzzer and the Washington Wizards beat New Orleans 95-92 on Monday night, sending the Hornets to their third straight loss. Stevenson's buzzer beater capped a career night for the Wizards guard as he scored 33 points. Roger Mason scored 12 points off the bench, as did Brendan Haywood, while Antawn Jamison and Antonio Daniels added in 10 apiece.
