KG, Celts drop Wolves in London
Somebody forgot to tell Ray Allen that the Celtics are Kevin Garnett's team. Allen scored 28 points Wednesday night to lead the Celtics to a 92-81 preseason win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Garnett's first game against his former team. Garnett, who spent 12 years in Minnesota, scored nine points in less than 30 minutes at London's O2 Arena, but he helped in other ways. "When you have KG in the post, everyone wants to double him," said Allen, who was 5-of-8 from 3-point range.

Ray Allen scored 28 points and Kevin Garnett chipped in against his former team in the Boston Celtics' 92-81 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in an NBA preseason game Wednesday. Garnett, the 2004 MVP and 10-time All-Star, scored only nine points, but did enough off the ball to help the Celtics win in his first game against the Timberwolves.




Garnett posts double-double in Celts debut
Kevin Garnett had 19 points and 16 rebounds in his Celtics debut, and Boston ruined Andrea Bargnani's homecoming with an 89-85 preseason victory over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday. Paul Pierce added 21 points for Boston, while Ray Allen had an off night with only 10 points on 4-of-13 shooting. The start of the NBA Europe Live tour marked the Celtics' first game since Garnett and Allen joined the team, creating a "Big 3" with Boston veteran Pierce.
