Rasho Nesterovic scored a season-high 16 points replacing a sidelined Chris Bosh and the Toronto Raptors showed off their depth without an injured All-Star in a 106-89 victory over the New Jersey Nets on Friday night. Jarrett Jack added 18 points and Jose Calderon had 16 points as the Raptors had seven players in double figures in dropping the Nets to 5-50.

Zach Randolph scored 30 points Friday night to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to their first victory of the season, 115-107 over the Toronto Raptors. Six Grizzlies finished in double figures. Marc Gasol added 19 points for Memphis, which lost by 22 to the Detroit Pistons in the season opener Wednesday night.




Raptors add G Belinelli, C Nesterovic (AP)
The Toronto Raptors have added guard Marco Belinelli and center Rasho Nesterovic to the roster. The team announced Thursday that it had acquired Belinelli from Golden State in exchange for forward Devean George and cash considerations. Free-agent Nesterovic signed a one-year, $2 million deal. Belinelli was the 18th overall pick in 2007 and appeared in 42 games for the Warriors last season.

Raptors expect to re-sign center Nesterovic
The Toronto Raptors expect to re-sign free agent center Rasho Nesterovic of Slovenia, who agreed in principle to a one-year, $2 million deal on Saturday. Nesterovic's agent, Bill Duffy, confirmed the move in an e-mail to The Associated Press. Nesterovic started 19 NBA games for the Indiana Pacers last season and averaged 6.8 points and 3.4 rebounds while shooting 51 percent from the field. He had played in Toronto before going to Indiana. He started 111 games in two seasons with the Raptors.

Ray Allen scored a season-high 35 points, and the Boston Celtics defeated the Indiana Pacers 122-117 in overtime on Sunday to increase their winning streak to 12 games. Kevin Garnett had 17 points, 20 rebounds and five steals, Paul Pierce had 17 points and eight rebounds and Eddie House had 15 points for Boston (20-2).




Wade scores 38 despite flu to rally Heat (AP)

With his team in a double-digit hole, Dwyane Wade hit a long 3-pointer at the end of the first half, then turned toward the Miami Heat bench and nodded. His message was clear: This game isn't over. And his teammates went out and proved him right. Wade shook off flu-like symptoms to score 38 points, and the Heat outscored Indiana by 21 after halftime to beat the Pacers 109-100 on Saturday night.

Danny Granger isn't ready to consider himself an NBA star just yet. But the Indiana Pacers' fourth-year swingman is certainly playing like one. Granger scored 34 points, including 10 in the fourth quarter, and the Pacers beat the slumping Atlanta Hawks 113-96 on Tuesday night. "He's got that killer instinct for a scorer," said Indiana center Rasho Nesterovic, who added 21 points.

New Jersey Nets guard Devin Harris was held out of Saturday night's game against the Indiana Pacers with a sprained left ankle. Harris scored a career-high 38 points in New Jersey's win over the Detroit Pistons on Friday night. He ranks second on the team with 18.8 points per game. Indiana was missing guard/forward Mike Dunleavy (sore right knee) and center Rasho Nesterovic (sprained right ankle).

O'Neal sent to Raptors; Pacers get Ford
The Toronto Raptors added six-time All-Star Jermaine O'Neal to their lineup on Wednesday in a multiplayer deal with Indiana that sent guard T.J. Ford and center Rasho Nesterovic to the Pacers. The teams agreed to the deal in principle before last month's draft, but it couldn't be officially announced until today. The Raptors also acquired the draft rights to forward Nathan Jawai while the Pacers get forward Maceo Baston and the draft rights to center Roy Hibbert. O'Neal averaged 18.

After months of inevitability, the New York Knicks made it official, dropping out of playoff contention Friday night by losing to the Toronto Raptors. Chris Bosh had 29 points and 10 rebounds, Rasho Nesterovic added 18 points, and the Raptors beat the Knicks 103-95. "It's disappointing," Knicks coach Isiah Thomas said.

Andrea Bargnani scored 21 points Friday night to lead Toronto to a 106-69 victory over New Jersey in the first meeting between the teams since the Nets ousted the Raptors in the opening round of last season's playoffs.
