Hornets PG Paul to miss rest of season (AP)
Chris Paul will miss the remainder of the season because of a ligament tear in the middle finger of his right hand. Paul played through the injury for several games, but appeared to aggravate it further while guarding Morris Peterson during a 1-on-1 drill after Tuesday's regular practice had ended.

Darren Collison scored 13 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter, helping the New Orleans Hornets hold on for a 93-85 victory over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. Peja Stojakovic scored 20 for New Orleans and Morris Peterson had 16 points and 10 rebounds for his first double-double in more than two seasons.

Peja Stojakovic hit a 3-pointer and three free throws in the final minute to lift the New Orleans Hornets over the Orlando Magic, 98-97, on Tuesday night. Chris Paul had 19 points and 12 assists for the Hornets, Morris Peterson scored 19 points and David West had 18 points and 11 rebounds. David West scored 32 points and Chris Paul had 20 points and 16 assists to lead the New Orleans Hornets to a 118-111 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday night. Peja Stojakovic scored 25 and Tyson Chandler had 17 points and 10 rebounds as the Hornets bounced back from a 20-point loss in Boston on Friday night to win for the sixth time in seven games.

David West had 33 points and 10 rebounds to help the undermanned New Orleans Hornets beat the Memphis Grizzlies 112-99 on Saturday night. Peja Stojakovic made six 3-pointers and finished with 26 points for New Orleans, which was without starting center Tyson Chandler (flu) and starting shooting guard Morris Peterson (back).

Jannero Pargo scored a season-high 24 points in 24 minutes, and the New Orleans Hornets extended their season-best winning streak to six games with a 96-81 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night. The New Orleans Hornets still aren't quite sure how they won this one. Chris Paul made sure they couldn't lose it. Paul made the tiebreaking layup with 2.6 seconds left and finished with a season-high 27 points, leading the Hornets to an 84-82 victory over the New Jersey Nets on Monday night. Paul added seven assists and six rebounds in his marquee point guard matchup with Jason Kidd.

Chris Paul made the tiebreaking layup with 2.6 seconds left and finished with a season-high 27 points, leading the New Orleans Hornets to an 84-82 victory over the New Jersey Nets on Monday night.
