OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) Tim Duncan scored 13 points in his shortest night of work this season, Tiago Splitter added 15 points and eight rebounds and the San Antonio Spurs beat the Golden State Warriors 120-99 on Monday night to move into the top spot in the Western Conference.

For once, the Detroit Pistons were the healthier team. Even with the surprise return of Richard Hamilton after a six-week absence, the Pistons were missing three key players. Golden State was playing without five, though, and Detroit's depth turned out to be crucial, as the Pistons dominated the second half to win their fifth straight game, 104-95 over the Warriors on Saturday night.

Warriors sign veteran C Mikki Moore (AP)
The Golden State Warriors have signed free-agent center Mikki Moore. An 11-year NBA veteran, the 7-foot Moore will provide depth in the frontcourt for a team that struggled with injuries at center last season. Moore, 33, averaged 3.9 points and 3.7 rebounds in 17.2 minutes per game last season for Sacramento and Boston.

Redd scores 44 as Bucks hold off Kings (AP)

Michael Redd's scoring binge through three quarters helped the Milwaukee Bucks assume a big lead Friday night, but it was teammate Charlie Villanueva carrying the load in the fourth quarter when the advantage nearly evaporated. Redd scored a season-high 44 points and Villanueva had 15 of his 24 points in the final period for the Bucks, who held off the Kings for a 129-122 victory.




Parker helps Spurs finish 3rd in West (AP)

Tony Parker tied his season high with 32 points and added 11 assists as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Sacramento Kings 101-98 on Monday night. The victory, coupled with Houston's loss to Utah, put the Spurs in position to clinch third place in the conference for a second straight season. A year ago, they defeated Cleveland in the NBA finals.

Kobe Bryant's injured finger is no problem, as he proved while waving goodbye to Sacramento. Pau Gasol is doing fine on his sprained ankle, and Derek Fisher's right foot isn't slowing him down. Even Vladimir Radmanovic's head is screwed on straight as the healing Los Angeles Lakers roll toward the playoffs.

Kevin Martin hit four 3-pointers while scoring 26 points, and the Sacramento Kings avoided a four-game sweep by the last-place Los Angeles Clippers with a 110-98 victory Thursday night. Francisco Garcia scored 17 points and Mikki Moore added 16 for the Kings, who took a 20-point lead in the third quarter of their fourth victory in five games.

Rafer Alston wears the same No. 12 that Rick Adelman wore when he played for the San Diego Rockets nearly 40 years ago. On Monday, Alston helped Adelman get a more significant number -- his 800th career coaching victory. Alston scored 28 points and Tracy McGrady added 17 as the Houston Rockets beat the Sacramento Kings 108-100, making Adelman the 13th coach to reach the milestone.

Kevin Martin scored 34 points, Ron Artest added 26 and the Sacramento Kings snapped a three-game losing streak against their Northern California rivals, beating the Golden State Warriors 122-105 Tuesday night. Mikki Moore had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Kings, who had lost five of their last six in a rivalry they mostly dominated before the Warriors' ascension last season.

Kevin Martin scored 32 points and had eight rebounds Sunday night to help the Sacramento Kings hold off the struggling Toronto Raptors for a 106-100 victory. Ron Artest added 19 points and 10 rebounds, and Mikki Moore scored 17 for the Kings, who have won three of four games. Jason Kapono scored 26 points off the bench for the Raptors, who have lost four straight and five of six.




Bibby shines, leads Hawks past Kings (AP)

Mike Bibby had 24 points and 12 assists in his home debut for Atlanta, leading the Hawks to a 123-117 win over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night. Joe Johnson had 26 points to lead the Hawks, who had dropped two straight and eight of nine. Josh Childress had 22 of his 25 points in the second half, hitting all nine of his free throw attempts.




Wallace to have more tests after concussion
Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace has been suffering from headaches and drowsiness since he was knocked unconscious in a game Friday. Wallace has been experiencing post-concussion symptoms that include soreness in his neck and jaw, the team said Monday. He's scheduled to be examined by a neurologist this week. It's unclear when he'll be able to play again. Wallace was hit in the face by an inadvertent elbow by Sacramento forward Mikki Moore during Friday's loss to the Kings.

Bobcats' Wallace out at least 2 weeks
Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace will miss at least two weeks after suffering his fourth concussion in four seasons Friday night in a loss to Sacramento. "Gerald is probably going to be two weeks to maybe slightly more," Charlotte coach Sam Vincent said before Saturday's game with the Washington Wizards. "He's in an observation stage." Wallace was knocked unconscious by an inadvertent elbow to the face by the Kings' Mikki Moore, and was taken to the hospital.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP)Mike Dunleavy scored 23 points and the Indiana Pacers never trailed in a 111-105 victory over the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night, snapping a three-game losing streak. Ahead 105-103 in the final minute, Jermaine O'Neal made two free throws and Danny Granger hit a 3-pointer with 18 seconds left to help the Pacers end a seven-game road losing streak.

The short-handed Sacramento Kings finally got their elusive, long-awaited road win by going back to the basics: shooting, rebounding and passing. Brad Miller had 25 points and 10 rebounds, Mikki Moore tied his career-high with 24 points and the Kings became the final NBA team to win a road game with a 109-99 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night.

The Timberwolves want Rashad McCants to shoot, and that's just what he did. McCants scored a career-high 33 points on 13-for-22 shooting in Minnesota's first victory this season, 108-103 over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night. Ron Artest returned from his seven-game suspension with 17 points and six assists for the Kings, who have lost all five of their road games.




Unbeaten Spurs roll past winless Kings (AP)

Tim Duncan and Tony Parker scored 15 points apiece, and the San Antonio Spurs beat the Sacramento Kings 96-80 Friday night to remain unbeaten. The Spurs are 3-0 for the first time since the 2000-01 season, when they finished with the best record in the league. The Kings have yet to win a game this season.
