Hawks snap 4-game skid, beat Clippers (AP)

The goal is 50 wins and home-court advantage in the opening round of the NBA playoffs. The Atlanta Hawks are determined to make it happen. Josh Smith scored 26 points, Joe Johnson added 21 and Atlanta beat the Clippers 97-80 on Wednesday night to end a four-game losing streak and hand Los Angeles its 12th straight loss.

Knicks-Clippers trade becomes official (AP)
The Knicks trade sending Zach Randolph to the Los Angeles Clippers has been completed, and Tim Thomas was expected to be in uniform against Cleveland. The Knicks, though, did not expect Cuttino Mobley to play Tuesday night against the Cavaliers and LeBron James. The Knicks acquired Thomas and Mobley for Randolph and Mardy Collins in the trade on Friday.

Nate Robinson scored 19 points and Zach Randolph added 15 to lead the New York Knicks to a 104-97 victory over the Boston Celtics in a preseason game on Friday night. It was the first game back at the TD Banknorth Garden for the Celtics (4-2) since beating the Los Angeles Lakers in last year's NBA finals to claim their 17th title.

Redd scores 36 as Bucks top Knicks in OT (AP)

Michael Redd finished with 36 points and Bobby Simmons added a season-high 24 points in the Milwaukee Bucks' 119-115 overtime win over the New York Knicks on Tuesday. Andrew Bogut, who missed the last two games because of a broken nose, chipped in with 24 points and 13 rebounds for Milwaukee. The Bucks snapped a four-game losing streak and won for just the second time in the last 12 games.

Nuggets, Knicks meet again after brawl (AP)

The team announced Saturday that it has exercised the fourth-year options for Lee and Robinson and the third-year options for Balkman and Collins. NBA rookie contracts are for two years, with team options for the third and fourth seasons. Lee has averaged 7.7 points and Robinson 9.7 points in their first two seasons. Balkman averaged 4.
