Sacramento Kings rookie DeMarcus Cousins was ejected from the game against Minnesota on Sunday after shoving the Timberwolves' Martell Webster. Cousins got into a confrontation in the third quarter after getting tangled with Minnesota's Luke Ridnour while setting a screen. Ridnour took exception and shoved Cousins, who pushed back.

McGrady, entering his 11th NBA season, was 10-of-20 from the floor and made all nine free throws. McGrady, who did not play the final 17 minutes, had seen limited time during the preseason because of a sore knee.

Seattle guard Luke Ridnour broke his nose in the SuperSonics' preseason opener and will have to wear a mask for at least the next month. Ridnour caught an elbow from Sacramento's Ron Artest midway through the first quarter Tuesday night. Ridnour was examined in Sacramento, but underwent additional tests Wednesday back in Seattle. A CT scan revealed a non-displaced fracture of the nasal bone.
