Josh Smith scored 24 points, Jeff Teague added 17 and the Atlanta Hawks beat the woeful Charlotte Bobcats 120-93 on Wednesday night. Joe Johnson finished with 16 points for Atlanta, which had lost three of four. Hawks coach Larry Drew rested all of his starters in the fourth quarter. Rookie Kemba Walker came off the bench to lead Charlotte with 21 points.

Hawks guard Jannero Pargo is expected to miss two to four weeks following an appendectomy in Cleveland on Sunday night. Pargo missed the Hawks' 103-87 win over the Cavaliers on Sunday with what was believed to be a stomach virus. He had the surgery at the Cleveland Clinic. Hawks coach Larry Drew says Pargo, a backup who averages 5.2 points per game, may fly back to Atlanta on Tuesday.

Mo Williams scored 25 points and fellow reserve Eric Bledsoe added 14 on a relatively quiet night by Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, leading the Los Angeles Clippers to a 96-82 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. The victory kept the Clippers within two games of the Lakers in the race for the Pacific Division lead.

David Lee scored 22 points, including the go-ahead basket with 30 seconds remaining, and the Golden State Warriors answered a late comeback by Atlanta to beat the Hawks 85-82 on Wednesday night. Jeff Teague tied a career high with 24 points despite playing on a sore left ankle and the Atlanta Hawks beat the New Orleans Hornets 94-72 on Sunday night. Willie Green added 16 points and Marvin Williams 14 for Atlanta, which won for the fourth time in five games and handed the struggling Hornets their most lopsided loss of the season.

The Atlanta Hawks ended this season the same way they have the last two: losing in the second round of the playoffs. But coach Larry Drew and his players are encouraged about taking top-seeded Chicago to six games. The Hawks were certainly much more competitive against the Bulls than they were in sweeps by Cleveland in 2009 and Orlando a year ago.

The Atlanta Hawks have changed up their lineup for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Chicago Bulls. Coming off a blowout loss, coach Larry Drew returned Sunday to the lineup that worked so well in a first-round win over Orlando. Jason Collins will start at center, Al Horford moves to power forward and Josh Smith shifts to small forward.

LeBron James scored 43 points, including 23 in a dominant third quarter, and the Miami Heat beat the Atlanta Hawks 106-85 on Friday night. Kevin Durant scored 29 points despite a sore ankle and Russell Westbrook hit a clinching 3-pointer, leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 111-104 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night. Durant sprained his left ankle two nights earlier and wasn't cleared to play until an hour before the game, but the NBA's leading scorer turned in his usual performance.

Al Horford made two free throws with 0.6 seconds remaining following a flagrant foul by Blake Griffin, giving the Atlanta Hawks a 101-100 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night.
