The Los Angeles Clippers have waived center Jarron Collins. The team cut the nine-year NBA veteran Monday. Collins was signed by the Clippers on Sept. 27 and appeared in 19 games this season. He averaged 0.8 points and 0.7 rebounds while playing 7.5 minutes a game.

LeBron, Shaq help Cavs rip Suns 107-90 (AP)

Shaquille O'Neal scored 12 points, LeBron James just missed a triple-double and the Cleveland Cavaliers opened a 30-point lead in the third quarter and dismantled Shaq's former team with a 107-90 win over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night. The Phoenix Suns on Monday were awarded the rights to center Jarron Collins, who was waived last week by the Portland Trail Blazers. The 6-foot-11 Collins is an eight-year NBA veteran who played for the Utah Jazz. He has career averages of 4.3 points and 3.1 rebounds in 480 games. The 30-year-old Collins is the younger twin brother of Atlanta Hawks center Jason Collins.
