Danny Granger had 30 points and a season-high 12 rebounds to help the Indiana Pacers beat Cleveland 108-99 on Friday night, extending the Cavaliers' losing streak to 10 games. Granger had struggled during Indiana's three-game losing streak, but he bounced back to make 12 of 22 shots, including four of seven 3-pointers.




Pacers get Collison, Posey in 4-way deal (AP)
The Indiana Pacers have acquired point guard Darren Collison and forward James Posey from New Orleans in a four-way trade that also includes New Jersey and Houston. The Pacers also announced Wednesday they have dealt Troy Murphy to the Nets, who sent guard Courtney Lee to Houston. To complete the trade, the Rockets shipped swingman Trevor Ariza to New Orleans.

Carlos Boozer scored six of his 16 points in the last 3:06, helping Utah pull away after a 3-pointer by New Orleans' James Posey had tied it at 85. Boozer added 15 rebounds, and Deron Williams had 16 points and 10 assists for the Jazz, who shot 54 percent (38 of 70).

James Posey scored on a driving layup at the buzzer for the second straight game, this time lifting the New Orleans Hornets to a 96-94 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night. The play came two nights after he did the exact same thing with 1.1 seconds to play to beat the Memphis Grizzlies.

Jarrett Jack had 15 points and Hedo Turkoglu scored 14 for the Raptors, who held the Hornets to 39 percent shooting. Chris Paul had 18 points, nine assists and five steals, James Posey scored nine of his 15 points in the fourth quarter, and the New Orleans Hornets beat the Memphis Grizzlies 91-84 on Tuesday night. James Posey made a 3-pointer with 19.1 seconds left Thursday night to lift the New Orleans Hornets to their fourth straight victory, 105-101 over the Denver Nuggets, one of his former teams. The Boston Celtics are beatable, after all. Dwight Howard scored 24 points, Rashard Lewis added 22 and the Orlando Magic dealt the Celtics their first loss of the season, 104-102 on Sunday night. Paul Pierce missed an off-balance jumper with time running out that could have forced overtime. Pierce finished with 28 points.




Posey day-to-day with back spasms
Celtics forward James Posey was being treated for lower back spasms Thursday, a day after he was injured in Boston's 119-93 win over Denver. Posey was diagnosed with a lumbar disk herniation after an MRI and is undergoing treatment. He is listed as day-to-day. He left the game in the second quarter.

With Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett dressed in suits on the bench, the Boston Celtics lost for the first time in four preseason games 96-78 to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night. Jason Smith had 16 points, while Andre Iguodala, Rodney Carney and Willie Green added 14 to lead the 76ers (1-4) in the game played at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
