Knicks avoid 60-loss season, top Bobcats (AP)

Too late to save their season, and probably too late to save Isiah Thomas' job, the New York Knicks are playing their best basketball. Fred Jones made the go-ahead 3-pointer with 3:47 left and scored 15 points, and the Knicks beat the Charlotte Bobcats 109-107 on Wednesday night to match a season high with their third straight victory.

Knicks end 5-game skid, top Magic 100-90 (AP)

Rookie Wilson Chandler scored a season-high 23 points, Zach Randolph added 20 points and 11 rebounds, and the New York Knicks snapped a five-game losing streak with a 100-90 victory over the Orlando Magic on Sunday night. Fred Jones and David Lee added 13 points apiece for the Knicks, who won for just the third time in 20 games.

Crittenton’s 23 helps Memphis top Knicks (AP)

Javaris Crittenton scored 23 points, Rudy Gay added 21, and the Memphis Grizzlies had their best offensive performance this season in a 130-114 victory Wednesday night over the New York Knicks, who hired Donnie Walsh as their new president earlier in the day. Michael Conley added 18 points, Juan Carlos Navarro had 16 and Mike Miller 15 as eight Grizzlies reached double figures.

Knicks end 7-game slide, down Heat 91-88 (AP)

Jamal Crawford doomed the Miami Heat again. Crawford scored 23 points, including a 3-pointer that stopped a huge Miami run in the final minutes, and the New York Knicks wasted most of a 14-point fourth-quarter lead before beating the Heat 91-88 on Wednesday night and snapping a seven-game losing streak.

Mavs cruise past listless Knicks 108-79 (AP)

Dirk Nowitzki had his back pressed to the floor, his right eye closed and a scratch puffing up around it just minutes into Monday night's game against the New York Knicks. When Mavericks coach Avery Johnson got to his star player, he wondered whether it would take minutes or hours for Nowitzki to see again.

Pistons, Raptors swap Dixon for Brezec (AP)
The Toronto Raptors acquired center Primoz Brezec and cash from the Detroit Pistons on Thursday for guard Juan Dixon. Dixon was averaging 4.3 points and 1.8 assists in 36 games with Toronto this season, his second with the Raptors. Dixon joined Toronto from Portland last year in a trade deadline deal that sent swingman Fred Jones to the Trail Blazers.

Knicks rally, end 8-game losing skid (AP)

Jamal Crawford scored 30 points, Fred Jones added 18, and the New York Knicks overcame a 17-point, third-quarter deficit to beat the Milwaukee Bucks 99-98 Saturday night and break an eight-game losing streak. David Lee added 17 points and nine rebounds for the Knicks, who had matched their longest skid of the season with an overtime loss to San Antonio on Friday.

Marbury plays, Knicks lose to Clippers (AP)

Stephon Marbury rejoined the New York Knicks, but Chris Kaman had 14 points and 18 rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to an 84-81 victory Wednesday night. Marbury came off the bench to score nine of his 13 points in the first half. He went 4-of-12 from the field, missed a couple of critical shots in the closing minutes, but made a layup to close the gap to 82-81 with 7 seconds left.

Knicks waive Dan Dickau

The New York Knicks waived Dan Dickau on Tuesday after completing a buyout of the veteran point guard's contract. The Knicks acquired Dickau in the draft-night trade that also sent Zach Randolph and Fred Jones from Portland to New York. But with the Knicks already having a number of guard options, agent Mark Bartelstein said the team wasn't a great situation for his client.
