Dirk Nowitzki scored 30 points and Devin Harris added 21 to help the Dallas Mavericks beat the Los Angeles Clippers 102-89 on Friday night. Nowitzki has scored at least 30 in his last three games. The Mavericks won their fifth straight game as they held the Clippers to less than 90 points for the ninth time this season.

Josh Howard scored a career-high 47 points and Erick Dampier provided a season-high 21 points -- and the Dallas Mavericks needed every bit of it to beat Deron Williams and the Utah Jazz 125-117 Saturday night. Devin Harris added a career-high 12 assists to help the Mavericks end skids of two straight losses, three of four and six of nine.

The Mavericks got a lift when coach Avery Johnson went back to a tried-and-true lineup. However, Dallas still struggled down the stretch before avoiding a fourth straight defeat to an underdog. Dirk Nowitzki had 27 points and 11 rebounds, Devin Harris scored 22 points, and the Mavericks snapped a three-game losing streak with a 109-103 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night.

Devin Harris scored 22 points and converted a key three-point play in the closing minutes, and the Dallas Mavericks rallied from a double-digit deficit for the second straight game to beat the Houston Rockets 100-94 on Wednesday night. Dirk Nowitzki shook off a slow start to score 18 points and grab 14 rebounds for the Mavericks, who overcame a 24-point deficit to beat Toronto on Tuesday night.

Mavs' Howard suspended 2 games for fight (AP)
Mavericks forward Josh Howard was suspended Friday for the first two games of the regular season, punishment for a fight with Sacramento center Brad Miller earlier in the week. Howard was ejected from an exhibition Tuesday against the Kings after delivering a forearm to the back of Miller's neck. He also pushed Miller, who had shoved Dallas guard Devin Harris to the ground.

Mavs sign G Harris to five-year contract extension
The Dallas Mavericks on Saturday signed Devin Harris to the five-year agreement they reached earlier this month.
