INDIANAPOLIS (AP) The Miami Heat canceled practice and their media availability one day after a blowout loss in Game 3 to the Pacers.

Detroit, Phoenix and Washington also had multiple players chosen as reserves for the Feb. 17 game. Boston will only send two of its Big Three to the Big Easy. Paul Pierce was voted in by Eastern Conference head coaches to join starter Kevin Garnett, but Ray Allen fell short.

Chris Paul had 23 points, 17 assists, and nine rebounds, and the New Orleans Hornets ran away with their ninth-straight win, 117-93 over the Denver Nuggets on Monday night. A jubilant crowd broke into repeated chants of "M-V-P" in recognition of a masterful performance by the Hornets' guard, who is New Orleans' best shot at making the All-Star game here next month as a reserve.

David West scored 32 points and the New Orleans Hornets won their eighth straight, routing the defending champion San Antonio Spurs 102-78 on Saturday night. Peja Stojakovic added 22 points, including four 3-pointers, and Chris Paul had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Hornets. Tim Duncan and Tony Parker scored 17 points apiece for San Antonio, which has now lost five games at home this season.

David West had 22 points and 17 rebounds and the Hornets won for the eighth time in 10 road games this season, beating the turnover-plagued Hawks 92-86 on Friday night. The New Orleans Hornets still aren't quite sure how they won this one. Chris Paul made sure they couldn't lose it. Paul made the tiebreaking layup with 2.6 seconds left and finished with a season-high 27 points, leading the Hornets to an 84-82 victory over the New Jersey Nets on Monday night. Paul added seven assists and six rebounds in his marquee point guard matchup with Jason Kidd.

David West and Chris Paul each scored 16 points, and Bobby Jackson had 12 to lead the New Orleans Hornets to a 93-72 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday night. The Hornets snapped a two-game losing streak and played more like the team that won the first four games of the season. They used runs of 11-2 at end of the first half and 12-0 in the third quarter to dominate and blow out the Sixers.

Martell Webster and Jarrett Jack each scored 20 points, and the Portland Trail Blazers earned their first victory of the season by beating the previously undefeated New Orleans Hornets 93-90 on Wednesday night. David West had 34 points and 17 rebounds for the Hornets (4-1), who had matched last season's start for the best in franchise history with four straight wins.
