The Miami Heat didn't blow this one. Now they're just two wins from being crowned NBA champions. Chris Bosh made a 16-foot, go-ahead jumper from the baseline with 39.6 seconds left and the Heat held on for an 88-86 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night for a 2-1 lead in the NBA finals.

The first time Chris Bosh returned to Dallas as an NBA player in 2003, he needed 175 tickets for family and friends. He won't get anywhere near that many on this trip home. "You don't get your hands on extra tickets," Bosh said. "The ticket thing, man, it's something else." Especially now, in the NBA finals.

Down by 15. Only 7:14 left. On the road. Headed toward an 0-2 deficit in the NBA finals against a Miami Heat team ready to be crowned NBA champions since LeBron James and Chris Bosh joined Dwyane Wade last summer. The Miami Heat were more than the Big Three. They unleashed some big 3s on the Dallas Mavericks, too. Combine that with winning the bench battle, and the Heat had some surprising advantages in their 92-84 victory in Game 1 of the NBA finals on Tuesday night. Chicago Bulls backup center Omer Asik will miss the rest of the season because of a broken left fibula. Asik was injured in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals at Miami. The team says an MRI and CT scan taken before Game 4 on Tuesday confirmed the injury. He tried to play anyway, but lasted just two minutes.

Raptors' Parker has right hand surgery (AP)
Toronto Raptors guard Anthony Parker had surgery Wednesday to repair an injured extensor tendon in the middle finger of his right hand. The surgery was performed in Toronto by Dr. Brent Graham. Parker must wear a cast for three weeks before he can begin rehabilitation. Parker averaged a career-high 12.5 points last season, second only to Chris Bosh on the Raptors.

Desmond Mason was 10-for-10 from the field and scored 21 points as the Milwaukee Bucks cruised to a 112-85 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night. Milwaukee, a team that didn't shoot 60 percent or better from the field in a game all last season, shot 60.3 percent and held Toronto star Chris Bosh to one point.

Andrea Bargnani scored 21 points Friday night to lead Toronto to a 106-69 victory over New Jersey in the first meeting between the teams since the Nets ousted the Raptors in the opening round of last season's playoffs. The Raptors had payback in mind. Chris Bosh had 15 points and Juan Dixon 14 for Toronto.

Bargnani, Ford pace Raptors over Sixers

Bosh 'feeling comfortable' after action
Chris Bosh's return was more important than helping the Toronto Raptors to a preseason victory. The All-Star forward, who's been out with an injured knee, played 15 minutes in his first appearance in four games Thursday night, finishing with 12 points in Toronto's 111-78 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. After the game, Bosh said the knee was feeling fine and that his night was a success. "It's good," Bosh said. "It was good to get out there, I'm glad to see how it is to play in a game.

Bosh helps Raptors win in Bargnani's hometown
Chris Bosh scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Toronto Raptors held off a spirited Virtus Lottomatica Roma squad for a 93-87 preseason victory Sunday. Andrea Bargnani added 13 points and seven rebounds to help the Raptors win in his hometown. Danish forward Christian Drejer led Roma with 23 points. With only two players taller than 6-foot-7, Roma struggled inside where the 6-10 Bosh was able to operate relatively uncontested.
