The Coral Gables Police Department reports that a motorcycle officer made several attempts to pull Arroyo over Friday morning. After Arroyo was stopped, police say he refused to get out of his vehicle several times before complying.

Needing point-guard help, Heat sign Arroyo
The Miami Heat have announced signing free agent guard Carlos Arroyo. Terms of the deal were not disclosed in Monday's announcement. Arroyo, a seven-year NBA veteran, spent last season in Israel playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv. He appeared in 28 games, averaging 15.3 points, 5.8 assists and 3.7 rebounds. The 30-year-old Arroyo most recently played in the NBA for Orlando. He appeared in 161 games with the Magic from 2005-08.

The Orlando Magic did just what they wanted in one of their final tuneups for the playoffs. Give everyone plenty of playing time. Avoid any serious injuries. And, of course, win the game. Maurice Evans had a career-high 27 points and six of his Orlando teammates also scored in double figures, leading the Magic to a 121-105 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night.

Dwight Howard had 25 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Orlando Magic to their franchise-record 24th road victory with a 103-86 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. Rashard Lewis added 16 points and seven rebounds, and Carlos Arroyo had 13 points and nine assists for the Magic, who improved to 24-13 on the road.

Manu Ginobili scored 28 points and Michael Finley added 24 as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Orlando Magic 107-97 on Tuesday night for their fourth straight win. Hedo Turkoglu scored 26 points, and the Orlando Magic made a team-record 18 3-pointers in a 112-85 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.
