Dirk Nowitzki scored 20 points, Peja Stojakovic added 17, and Dallas Mavericks got back on track with a 101-73 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night. Stojakovic returned from a six-game absence due to a stiff neck and went 5 for 8 from behind the 3-point arc to give the Mavs a long-distance threat they've been missing.

Dirk Nowitzki overcame foul trouble to score 25 points in 27 minutes, helping the Dallas Mavericks outlast the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 108-105 victory on Monday night. Nowitzki picked up his fourth foul early in the third quarter, and Brian Cardinal stepped in to score a season-high 12 points for the Mavericks in their 19th win in 21 games.

Timberwolves re-sign F Cardinal (AP)
The Minnesota Timberwolves have brought back veteran forward Brian Cardinal. Cardinal signed with the Wolves on Tuesday. He was traded to New York last month for center Darko Milicic (MILL'-uh-chich), but the Knicks waived Cardinal after the deal to make him a free agent. The 6-foot-8 Cardinal played in 27 games for Minnesota before the trade.

The New York Knicks have traded Darko Milicic to the Minnesota Timberwolves for forward Brian Cardinal. The Timberwolves also received cash considerations in the deal that was completed Wednesday night. The 24-year-old Milicic was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the second overall pick in the 2003 draft, just behind LeBron James and ahead of Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade.

The Memphis Grizzlies waived former NBA All-Star Antoine Walker on Thursday. The 6-foot-9, 245-pound forward has not played this season. He was acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves in June along with the draft rights to guard O.J. Mayo and guards Greg Buckner and Marko Jaric in exchange for the draft rights to forward Kevin Love, swingman Mike Miller, forward Brian Cardinal and center Jason Collins. Wolves C Collins undergoes elbow surgery (AP)
Minnesota Timberwolves center Jason Collins had surgery to repair a ruptured triceps tendon in his right elbow. The team said Thursday that Collins was injured in a freak golf accident when his cart skidded on some wet ground and tipped over. The Wolves acquired Collins in a draft-night deal with Memphis that also brought them Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal and rookie Kevin Love.
