Rarely used Robin Lopez scored nine consecutive points to spark a 12-2 run starting the fourth quarter and the Phoenix Suns rallied to beat Charlotte 95-89 Saturday night, the Bobcats' 11th consecutive loss. Michael Redd scored 17 points in his first start in nearly two years, Lopez finished with 13 and Marcin Gortat added 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Suns, who have won two of three.

Rashard Lewis had 10 points in his first game back from a suspension and the Orlando Magic beat the Charlotte Bobcats 97-91 Monday night. Lewis looked rusty after serving a 10-game ban handed out by the NBA for testing positive for an elevated testosterone level. Tim Duncan blocked Raymond Felton's tying shot attempt in the frantic final seconds to help the San Antonio Spurs to an 86-84 win over the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday. Duncan's rejection squirted to Boris Diaw, but he missed a game-winning 3-point attempt at the buzzer for the Bobcats, who had their three-game winning streak snapped.

Raja Bell scored 19 points, and Boris Diaw added 18 to lead the Charlotte Bobcats to a 92-89 victory over the Washington Wizards on Friday night., After trailing most of the game, the Bobcats took the lead for good on Shannon Brown's 3-pointer with 2:42 left, and held off Washington's late charge. Down 90-89 with 15 seconds left, the Wizards had a chance for the win.




Bobcats snap 3-game skid, beat Bucks (AP)

Gerald Wallace scored 24 points, Boris Diaw added 21 and the Charlotte Bobcats beat the Milwaukee Bucks 102-92 on Saturday night to snap a three-game losing streak. The league's lowest-scoring team shot 47 percent and took advantage of Bucks center Andrew Bogut's absence to control the inside and avenge a Friday night loss in Milwaukee.

Raymond Felton scored 22 points, Emeka Okafor added 21 and the new-look Charlotte Bobcats won for the fourth time in five games with a 95-87 victory over the New Jersey Nets on Friday night. Boris Diaw and Felton hit clutch late baskets as the Bobcats held on after seeing a 15-point third-quarter lead dwindle to two points in the waning minutes.

Allen Iverson scored 20 points, Rasheed Wallace hit a 3-pointer with 10.4 seconds left to avoid an embarrassing collapse, and the Detroit Pistons held off the new-look Charlotte Bobcats 90-86 on Saturday night. Taking advantage of the ragged debut by Charlotte newcomers Boris Diaw and Raja Bell, the Pistons led by 29 points in the third quarter and by 24 with 9 minutes left.




Bobcats may not be done tweaking roster (AP)
It didn't take coach Larry Brown long to determine he didn't like the Charlotte Bobcats' roster. There were too many wing players, not enough big men and too few good defenders. Wednesday's trade that sent leading scorer Jason Richardson and Jared Dudley to Phoenix for Boris Diaw, Raja Bell and Sean Singletary helped the struggling Bobcats become bigger and better defensively.

Raja Bell, Boris Diaw and Sean Singletary are expected to make their Charlotte Bobcats debuts Saturday night in Detroit, coach Larry Brown said Thursday -- a day after the three players were acquired a trade with the Phoenix Suns. Phoenix sent Bell, Diaw and Singletary to Charlotte on Wednesday for Jason Richardson, Jared Dudley and a 2010 second-round draft pick.

Shaquille O'Neal scored a season-high 35 points and the Phoenix Suns beat Milwaukee 125-110 on Tuesday night, extending their domination of the Bucks in Arizona. The Suns beat Milwaukee in Phoenix for the 21st straight time, matching the San Antonio Spurs' string of 21 straight home victories over Golden State for the longest active streak.

Leandro Barbosa scored 16 of his team-high 27 points in the fourth quarter, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with 43.8 seconds left, and the Phoenix Suns withstood a furious fourth-quarter rally to beat the Memphis Grizzlies 107-102 on Monday night. The Grizzlies had rallied from a 17-point third-quarter deficit and led 102-100 on Rudy Gay's dunk off an offensive rebound with 1:30 remaining.

Tony Parker scored 31 points, Tim Duncan added 29 points and 17 rebounds, and the San Antonio Spurs advanced to the Western Conference semifinals with a 92-87 Game 5 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night. The third-seeded Spurs will meet the No. 2 seed Hornets in a second-round series that begins Saturday at New Orleans.




Suns beat Spurs 105-86 to avoid sweep (AP)

A Frenchman put Phoenix on the brink of elimination, another brought the Suns back to life. Boris Diaw fell two assists shy of a triple-double Sunday and the Suns avoided a first-round sweep at the hands of San Antonio with a 105-86 rout of the Spurs. Diaw, starting in place of injured Grant Hill, had 20 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in one of the best playoff performances of his career.

Steve Nash had 14 points and 11 assists, then sat out the final quarter Friday night while the Phoenix Suns completed a 117-88 rout of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Amare Stoudemire had 24 points in 28 minutes as five Suns reached double figures. Grant Hill, out for the previous three games with a strained right groin, had 16 points and 10 rebounds.




Martin suspended for 1 game
Denver Nuggets forward Kenyon Martin was suspended for one game without pay Thursday for exceeding the flagrant foul points total with five. Martin was assessed a flagrant foul/penalty one for striking Phoenix's Boris Diaw in the face Tuesday night in Denver's win over the Suns. Martin now faces one-game suspensions for each additional flagrant foul.

Pau Gasol added 29, including a breakaway dunk that put Los Angeles up 123-117 with 1:15 to play. Lamar Odom added 22 for the Lakers, who won their sixth in a row to move into a tie with Phoenix atop the Pacific Division.

Amare Stoudemire had 28 points and the Phoenix Suns made it 14 in a row at home over New Jersey by routing the Nets 116-92 on Sunday night. Raja Bell added 20 points, including 5-of-10 3-pointers. New Jersey hasn't won in Phoenix since March 13, 1993. Six players, including all five starters, scored in double figures for the Suns.
