Andris Biedrins helped the Golden State Warriors forget they were a struggling, short-handed squad. Playing without two of their top scorers, Biedrins had 17 points and 21 rebounds as the Warriors ended a nine-game skid with a 112-102 victory over the lowly Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night. "We didn't win the world championship but it sure felt like it," Warriors coach Don Nelson said.

Warriors give Biedrins 6-year, $62M deal
The Golden State Warriors re-signed center Andris Biedrins to a six-year contract worth more than $62 million Monday, retaining another restricted free agent and possibly capping a tumultuous month for the club. Biedrins averaged career-highs with 10.5 points and 9.8 rebounds with the Warriors last season, his fourth with the club that drafted him with the 11th overall pick in 2004. He also led the NBA in field-goal percentage, making 62.6 percent of his shots.

Baron Davis scored all of his 19 points in the second half Saturday night, including a key jumper in the final minutes that helped the Golden State Warriors slog their way to their eighth win in 10 games, a 110-107 victory over the hapless Memphis Grizzlies. Golden State spent much of the game playing down to the level of the Grizzlies, who have lost 17 straight road games and 19 of 21 overall.

Andris Biedrins had a season-high 23 points and a career-best 18 rebounds, Al Harrington scored 27 points and the Golden State Warriors finally got their first victory of the season, 122-105 over the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night. Baron Davis had 21 points, 12 assists and a career-high five blocked shots for the Warriors, who had been the NBA's only winless team.

One key to the Detroit Pistons' improbable victory at Golden State was written in bold red letters on the locker room's dry-erase board: "No small ball." Indeed, nothing was small about the Pistons' stirring comeback from a 22-point deficit Wednesday night, while missing two injured starters in their fifth game in seven days, for a 111-104 victory.

If only Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks had showed this much poise the last time they visited Golden State. Nowitzki scored eight of his 22 points in the fourth quarter, Jerry Stackhouse hit a 3-pointer with 37 seconds left and the Mavs got a bit of hollow revenge from their historic playoff defeat with a 120-115 victory over the winless Warriors on Thursday night.
