Chris Paul set an NBA record with a steal in his 106th straight regular-season game and had 19 points and 12 assists to lead the New Orleans Hornets to a 90-83 comeback victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night. Paul broke Alvin Robertson's NBA mark -- which stood since 1986 -- when he deflected and quickly corralled an attempted pass by Tony Parker late in the second quarter.

Robertson was playing for San Antonio when he set the previous mark of 105, which Paul tied Tuesday night in Memphis.

New Orleans Hornets guard Chris Paul tied the NBA record for most consecutive games with a steal on Tuesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. Paul's theft came after a bad pass by Grizzlies forward Darko Milicic with 3:33 left in the first quarter. That gave Paul 105 straight games with a steal, pulling him even with Alvin Robertson's mark set between November 1985 and December 1986.
